 My kids found what 1e books I did have and it made me wonder if there was any further information about not only 1e D&D, but also if there was any community around keeping it going. That was when I discovered **OSRIC** and it completely fulfilled both sides of me; the RPG gamer from the 1e/2e world and the Free Libre Community movements of Linux and BSD. Just knowing that people around the world got together to not only keep 1e alive, but to put it out in an Open License (OGL) just blew my mind.
